Thank you for your interest in assisting the SAIL Pathfinder Club as a staff member or an instructor. Although this is a volunteer ministry, we expect our core staff to commit to attend at least 75% of all SAIL Club meetings (there are 20 in the Pathfinder year) and 75% of our club activities. We know there are times when you cannot be around, for work, vacation, family, etc, but making this commitment of time is important to keep the club functioning properly and to build effective mentoring relationships with the Pathfinders. If you cannot commit to being a full time staff member, we may also need on-occasion volunteers to serve as instructors for skills and honors, as facilitators for certain activities and fundraisers, or occasionally as drivers. All volunteers working regularly with the youth or driving the youth will be required to be current in their child abuse prevention training and their background check, conducted through the Verified Volunteers program.
