SAIL Pathfinder 2024-25 Staff Interest Form

Thank you for expressing your interest in joining the SAIL Pathfinder Club as a full time staff member, junior staff member, or a volunteer. Full time staff members must be baptized members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and must have attended the Austin South Seventh-day Adventist Church for at least 6 months before joining the club. Junior staff members must be in grade 11 or higher, and may be up to 21 years of age. Volunteers will be called upon to provide transportation, assistance with activities or events, or to teach particular skills or share knowledge or experiences. Because we strongly believe in the safety and security of our youth, and to adhere to church requirements, all full time and junior staff must have an active background check and have completed the Sterling Volunteer child abuse prevention training, and take the Pathfinder Basic Staff Training in their first year of service. In addition to the form below, you will be required to fill out the staff volunteer form, code of conduct, and safe driver pledge (if appropriate) found under the documents tab on the SAIL website

    Pathfinder staff commit to:
    • Be prepared, committed, and engaged in the Pathfinder Ministry
    • Live up to the Pathfinder Pledge and law
    • Be on time and in attendance at SAIL Pathfinder events and activities
    • Take on roles and responsibilities related to the IA classwork and other SAIL activities and events
    • Strive to improve their knowledge and skills base appropriate to the pathfinder program, and to mentoring youth
    • Work in a collaborative manner with the SAIL staff, Pathfinder Area and Conference Staff,  the Church, and the Pathfinder families
