This week the SAILs faced a setback - a fire destroyed all of the SAIL pathfinder gear and equipment. We lost all our new tents, all our stoves and camp cooking gear, we lost books, craft supplies, tools, backpacks, camping chairs, portable tables, ropes, flags... In short, we lost everything. HOWEVER - the building was not significantly impacted (aside from a little smoke and water damage, and of course our storage room), no people were harmed, and in the end, gear is just gear.
At this time, we look to Matthew 6:26-27 "Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?" It will take some hard work, some generous donations, and camaraderie, but it isnt the stuff that makes the SAIL Pathfinder Club - it is our unity and purpose of mission.
