The SAIL Pathfinders completed their fifth year as an active Pathfinder Club in Central Texas this past Sabbath. The Adventurer Club and the Pathfinder Club held their Investiture services within the church service, highlighting the activities, spiritual growth and achievements of the youth. We also gave special recognition to Connie and Cathy, who both were inducted as Master Guides, the highest level of youth leadership achievement within the Pathfinder and Adventurer program. Becoming a Master Guide is quite an accomplishment, and recognized a commitment to be spiritually-minded leaders of our youth. We also had several previous members of the SAILs club who joined us for the service. The Induction service also marked the beginning of a transition in the SAIL Club leadership. Rodger will be stepping down this summer and moving into a role as an Area Coordinator for Central Texas, and a new leader for the SAILs will be announced later in the summer. The SAILs have done so many things this past year, and we still have more to do this summer before heading north to Oshkosh for the International Pathfinder Camporee in August. The first thing is a large yard sale, as a final fundraiser for the trip. This will be held at the Austin South Seventh-day Adventist Church on Sunday, June 22. We hope to see you there!
