One of the objectives of Pathfinders is to train leaders for the future. In light of that fact, the SAIL Pathfinder club must be doing something right. This year we are blessed to have half our staff between the ages of 17 and 22! These young people lead our worships, take roll and fill out permission forms. One is our drill instructor. One is preparing our Pathfinder Bible Experience team for testing, which will start in January. Each of them instruct different IA classes at the weekly meetings.
Most recently, three of these fine young people taught classes at the Honors Fair held December 7 at the Austin First Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church. I was assured by an area coordinator that they did a very good job!
Those of us who have been leading this club for the last five years are so proud of these young people! We have watched several of them grow up in this club, and we recognize that they could have chosen to drop out and focus on their studies. We are very grateful they’ve chosen to become leaders.
