This week, during our regular club meeting, the SAILs reviewed and practiced many of the skills in basic rescue - useful skills for our club outings. We reviewed why someone may need moved (and when not to move them), and practiced several different ways, using available materials, to move a victim from a secondary life threatening situation. Each year, we review and practice rescue and first aid skills, to ensure that our Pathfinders are prepared for any emergency situation they may encounter.
The Pathfinders also had the opportunity to taste test several samples of baked goods (including a homemade apple pie) that one of the Pathfinders made as part of their work on the Baking honor. Up next is our Valentines Day fundraiser banquet.
