June brings about the end of the Pathfinder year (although this year we still have plenty to do ahead of the International Camporee in August). In our final weeks in May we took part in a hike- and bike- athon, with some youth clocking in 20 miles, and we unpacked our new club tents, which should carry us through the next 10 years. The Pathfinders also prepared a special program for the church service, with our investiture program. Investiture is a special ceremony that marks the Pathfinders' achievements throughout the year, and where those who have completed their work are invested in their new rank. We were happy to have our area staff present to present the youth with their new insignia. The Pathfinders performed a flag ceremony, led the songs, presented a skit, gave a special musical presentation, and talked about their time in Pathfinders. After the service we celebrated a Pathfinder's birthday, and will now shift gears to prepare for our trip to Wyoming in August. The SAILs would like to thank everyone for their support this year, and are looking forward to our next adventures.
