You may recall that last year we made birdhouses as part of our Wood Handicraft honor. Well, here is a picture of one of those birdhouses after a Black-Crested Titmouse (Baeolophus atricristatus) used it to nest. You can see the cavity nest, lined with moss, bark, fur, and other items. We are looking forward to many years of nesting birds in this Pathfinder-built birdhouse.
We are less than a month away from the start of the Pathfinder year. It will be an exciting new year, focused on geology, fossils, and creation, in addition to camping and outdoor skills, first aid, community service, and mission. This year we will also be preparing for the International Pathfinder Camporee in Wyoming, where we will meet more than 55,000 other Pathfinders from around the world.
